Designed for suturing during cardiovascular procedures, this instrument is for use with 3-0 and 4-0 sutures. Finished with gold-plated handles, there are several lengths to choose from. Tungsten carbide needle holders provide unparalleled control while suturing. The precision-milled, pyramid-shaped teeth ensure a dependable, non-slip surface. Some needle holder styles are also available with smooth tungsten carbide jaws, designed to hold the smallest sutures in microsurgical and plastic surgery procedures. The one open ring allows more maneuverability for the surgeon. Another aspect of this forceps is called the "sawtell," which signifies a full curve on the jaws. This style also has the option of closed ring-handles or one open ring-handle in a 7 ½" overall length.
