Iris Surgical Scissors Manufacturers 14 CM Gold Handle
(tungsten carbide blades w/ 1 micro serrated blade), 4-1/2" (11.4 cm)
Iris Scissors with blades are handcrafted with tungsten carbide inlays that increase durability, provide the sharpest cutting edge, and extend the lifetime of the product. The Iris Scissors were first designed for the intricacies demanded by ophthalmic surgery. Today these fine, sharp scissors can be used in other contexts where precision is required. The BUF SURGICAL Iris Scissor is available with a straight or curved tips and with the micro serrated blade that allows for clean cuts through delicate tissue. Scissors combine the performance and precision of supercut with the durability of tungsten carbide cutting edges. These scissors: 1) feature tungsten carbide inlays on both blades for increased durability, sharper cutting edges and enhanced service life; 2) have one standard blade and one with micro-serrations; 3) feature inlays that are soldered onto the blades in a vacuum oven, not welded, resulting in a harder and more durable inlay than those welded on in a traditional process; and 4) feature gold-plated handles with stripes.

Jacobson-Micro Mosquito Forceps
very slender pattern
Jacobson-Micro Mosquito Forceps have a very slender pattern with vertical serrations on the jaws and are typically used as hemostats to control bleeding in blood vessels. The slender pattern and smaller length of these forceps indicate that they are lightweight and allow the doctor to possess control of the instrument. BUF SURGICAL presents a straight or curved 4" or 5" style of the forceps. While the straight tips can add to the length, the curved tips may be useful for extending around tissue.
Jansen Scalp Retractor
Jansen Scalp Retractor
Jansen Scalp Retractor is a handheld instrument that is ideal for the use of lifting the scalp from the skull to provide more accessibility for the surgeon. Surgeries that may involve the need to access this region include cochlear implant procedures. The retractor also contains a device that allows it to be held in place once it is positioned so that the surgeon can continue the operation without manually holding the retractor. Depending on the incision and thickness of the area, this instrument is offered in different sized spreads and prong styles.
Jeweler’S Bipolar Forceps
Bipolar Forceps
0.4 mm tip, 4" (10.0 cm)
Jeweler's Bipolar Forceps are designed to minimize heat and current while coagulating. For use during bipolar electrosurgical procedures, these forceps are designed with a 0.4 mm tip which is available either straight or curved. Ideal for situations where a finer bipolar forcep is required. Both models are available in both insulated and insulated with irrigation. Bipolar forceps are designed to control temperatures, minimize heat and current spread and reduce tissue sticking or charring while coagulating during bipolar electrosurgical procedures. They are available in a variety of styles that provide bipolar coagulating capabilities for a wide range of procedures: irrigating or non-irrigating (for flushing surgical site to improve visualization), with or without insulation (to eliminate conduction to surrounding tissues when performing deep procedures), straight or bayonet-shaped (to enhance visibility by keeping the surgeon's hand from the line of sight). Manufactured from premium, German stainless steel with a satin finish. Call us today regarding non-stick versions of our line of bipolar forceps.
